Candace Pert, PhD., Author of Molecules of Emotion: The Science Behind Mind, Body Medicine had done extensive research on viruses during her career as a scientist. She found a huge resistance in the medical field to her discoveries between viruses, emotions, and peptide receptors as a cost free way to treat deadly viruses. Dr. Pert is suggesting that in her research with peptides and receptors, viruses use the exact same receptors as your emotions use. When you feel well, happy and fulfilled, the virus cannot enter a cell. Those receptors are closed off to the virus.

The neuropeptides and receptors, the biochemicals of emotion, are, as I have said, the messengers carrying information to link the major systems of the body into one unit that we can call the body-mind. when researchers began to investigate the complex mental coordination that
dance requires. In a 2008 article in Scientific American magazine,
a Columbia University neuroscientist posited that synchronizing music and
movement—dance,
essentially—constitutes a “pleasure double play.” Music stimulates the brain’s
reward centers, while dance activates its sensory and motor circuits.
